Classes are held rain or shine.  We adjust activities each day to suit the weather conditions.  We have lots of games and activities to keep the kids as safe and entertained as possible. We also have a covered area which will protect the campers and instructors from the sun and rain.  In case of sever weather, we shelter inside our trailer until lightning is a safe distance away.

Your child should have basic and competent swimming skills. They should be comfortable in and around water. All kids wear lifejackets the entire time they are on the water.

The safety and well being of your children is of paramount importance to us at Colorado Watersports.  This is why our instructors are qualified to the highest standards.  They are all First Aid and CPR trained.  They have all had background checks.

Our instructors are trained to adapt their teaching techniques for different ages and abilities.  They will also ensure that they are divided according to their skill set.  For example all of our boats are designed for two/three children and this pairing will tend to be of similar age, strength and ability.

We have found that a range of ages in a group or team tends to promote the development of leadership qualities.  This is why our camps serve a wider are range than some of the other camps (6 – 14 years).

The schedule is busy but we have very regular snack and water breaks.  Please help us to manage this by ensuring that your child arrives with a water bottle and enough food to replenish their energy for the duration of the day.
